ARTreach State Partnerships
Through innovative programming and partnerships, ARTreach has grown to become a nationally recognized leader in the field of art outreach targeting neglected populations. Awards include Texas Association Partners in Education TAPE Fort Bend ISD Leader in Innovative Art Partnerships, (IIE) International Institute of Education/programs encouraging minority participation, and Americans For the Arts Featured Program. ARTreach is recognized by the State, and our programs are approved for funding by the Texas Commission on the Arts.
TCA Funding
ARTreach is part of the Texas Commission on the Arts Texas Touring Roster. Financial support is available to assist with artist fees through the TCA ARTS Respond Performance Support Grant Program. This quarterly program provides support to Texas Schools, libraries and nonprofits organizations and government entities for hiring artists to do a performance, residency or workshops in a school or community center or facility. These applications are funded based on a sliding scale ranging from 30-50% of contracted fees. Support is based on TCA’s available funds. Contact TCA at 512-463-5535 extension 0 for more information.
Because Art Works
We are advocating for education policies that ensure every Texas student receives a well-balanced education, quality fine arts instruction, protected instructional time for arts education and opportunities to pursue their passion. ARTreach advocacy goals are in alignment with the Texas Commission for the Arts.

ARTreach is creating an advocacy strategy that identifies specific legislation, articulates positions on key issues, and ensures communication to the public, legislators, and educators.

Our committee identifies top issues for arts advocacy and prepare position papers for delivery or dissemination to help educate our state's decision makers about the importance of protecting fine arts education. We are encouraging citizens to contact their legislators and remind them to support the arts in Texas and the Texas Commission on the Arts.
