Elizabeth Bailey
Elizabeth Bailey is an art director and graphic designer with over 30 years experience designing for print, radio, television and the web. She currently works as a magazine art director as well as volunteers for ARTreach as Marketing Director. She designed and maintains the ARTreach website and also designs all promotional material for print and web.  Elizabeth attended the University of Houston and the Art Institute of Houston where she not only studied advertising design but also received extensive training in drawing, painting and photography. She has painted signs, illustrated flowers, designed packaging, directed and written television commercials and has even painted a mural for the Museum of the Cayman Islands.

After working several years as a designer and illustrator, Elizabeth began selling her canvas paintings at various festivals around Houston and Austin. Elizabeth draws inspiration from modern artists who inject color and pattern into their works - Matisse, Picasso and even Peter Max, whose bold and lively illustrations from the late 60s were among her favorites. In the late 80s she sold many wine bottle paintings, some of which are pictured here. In 1995 Elizabeth was approached by a friend to paint her car - a 1966 Ford Falcon whose previous owner's name was Gertrude. That car became the first in what not totals eight art cars painted by Elizabeth, including the ARTreach car and her own car, which she drives every day.
